Membangun Server VoIP untuk Telephone Gratis - ITLampung.Com - Voice over Internet Protocol (juga disebut VoIP, IP Telephony, Internet telephony atau Digital Phone) adalah teknologi yang memungkinkan percakapan suara jarak jauh melalui media internet.
Atau dengan kata lain definisi VoIP adalah suara yang dikirim melalui protokol internet (IP).
Saat ini beberapa perusahaan yang sudah memiliki banyak cabang dimana-mana, menginginkan penghematan biaya telephone untuk komunikasi antar cabang yang terhubung dengan koneksi Internet, dan VoIP adalah solusinya. Berikut beberapa perangkat yang dibutuhkan.
1. VoIP Gateway - Pengganti Mesin PABX
Gambar dibawah ini adalah salah satu contoh VoIP Gateway dari Yeastar, tapi jika biaya cost yang dikeluarkan cukup mahal Anda bisa menggunakan PC Server dan diinstall Linux Asterisk.
2. SIP Phone - Pengganti Pesawat Telephone
Gambar dibawah ini adalah Salah satu contoh SIP Phone dari produk Yeastar dan Ubiquity dimana fungsinya tidak jauh berbeda.
3. Jenis Topologi yang Akan Digunakan
Berikut jenis topologi yang mungkin akan digunakan didalam jaringan VoIP antar cabang perusahaan, untuk topologi pada dasarnya tidak ada yang istimewa, intinya adalah SIP Phone bisa terhubung dengan VoIP Gateway, dan jika seluruh cabang hanya ingin menggunakan 1 (Satu) VoIP Gateway itu tidak jadi masalah . (Namun biasanya ada batasan jumlah Extension yang digunakan)
Adapun konfigurasi yang dilakukan tidaklah terlalu sulit, karena jika kita menggunakan Produk yang sudah jadi, konfigurasi dilakukan Via Webbased, yang perlu diperhatikan adalah Port untuk komunikasi antara SIP Phone ke VoIP Gateway tidak ditutup, yaitu :
